Trippel
Description"The game with three pieces" Old Swedish boardgame published by Brio. An abstract strategy game for 2-4 players, it's reminiscent of Halma while also featuring Checkers-like piece elimination using rock-paper-scissors mechanics. Everyone has three pieces: "Hunter", "eagle" and "snake". The goal is to move as many of your pieces as possible across the board. You can move your pieces left, right and forward, but never backwards, and diagonally only when jumping over other pieces. Hunters can kill eagles when jumping, eagles can kill snakes and snakes can kill hunters. Because of the elimination mechanic, the winner is the player who reaches their target corner with the most pieces remaining (in case of a tie, the one who got there first). Unlike most similar games Trippel also supports a 3-player variant, though no specific rules for this are given. Likely date of publication: 1950's-'60s.
