    Description

    This game simulates the Battle of Iwo Jima fought in February and March 1945 between the Marines and the Imperial Forces of the Empire of Japan. The main scenario has the Marines landing where they did historically, South Beach. A variant has the Marines landing on West Beach. Another variant allows the American player to bring on one or two reserve Marine regiments but having to give the Japanese five victory points for each regiment. Includes rules for solitaire play.

    431 meters/hex, 3 days/turn, company.

    One 11x17-inch game map, 140 counters that have to be mounted and cut-out, charts and tables, rules.
