Bikuben
DescriptionIn Bikuben (The Bee Hive) 2-4 players tries to get their queen bee into the center of the hive. Each player has one queen bee, 3 soldier bees, and 4 worker bees in their color. The board is a hexhex3 grid, where the pieces are placed on the corners of the hexes - i.e. it is the line grid that forms the playing area. The pieces starts at the edge of the board with the queen at a marked starting spot, and surrounded by workers (two at each side) and soldiers (in the three spots in front of the queen). On their turn a player moves one of their bees - a queen must move one node along the lines in the grid, a worker exactly 2 nodes, and a soldier exactly 3 nodes. Bees cannot be passed or jumped over. Like in Chess it is possible to capture opponents bees by replacement (move to the target bee's node). If a queen bee is captured, the player is out but their bees stay on the board (to be captured by the other players). The winner is the player to first get their queen bee to the center spot or to be the last queen bee standing. —user summary Game DiscussionsAdd CommentYou need to be logged in to comment.
