Each set has 2 monks (a cross ), 2 ladies (a circle), 2 lords (a star ), 6 farmers (a square) and 4 knights (a triangle). These symbols hint on the direction of the slides and jumps every piece is able to make. Starting from your own two base lines object of the game is to move all your pieces off the board on the opposite side and prevent the opponent from doing so.
