    Description

Fought on January 23, 1879, the Battle of Rorke's Drift could well be called the battle of the Victoria Cross. Of the one hundred thirty personnel involved in the defense of the station and hospital at the Drift, eight of them received this most coveted of all British decorations . . ."

"Setting Up the Game: The British player places his eleven counters within the seven hexes which represent the Rorke's Drift Compound . . . no British Unit may ever leave the Compound for any reason . . . The Zulu Player places thirty-six Zulu Counters, stacked two high, on the eighteen dotted hexes to the North of the compound."
