    Description

??????? (Purge Of Rigilau) is a werewolf game from Japan. In the People's Republic Of Rigilau, the General Secretary of the Communist Party is the dictator. The General Secretary guides the party faithful, guiding them to solve tasks, and purging the treacherous dissidents.

One player has the role of General Secretary and the rest are Ministers in the Government. As the game progresses, the dissidents are secretly trying to disrupt the progress of government by preventing issues from being solved. Their goal is to overthrow the Secretary and seize power. The Secretary and the loyal Ministers are trying to maintain control, and purge the rebels from the Party.

Players are dealt one of the 7 Position cards, identifying their role in the Party. The General Secretary is obviously loyal, and the Ministers each get a Faction card ($ loyal and 2 dissident). These set up the players approach to the party agenda.

The game is played over a series of rounds in which the General Secretary lays out the issues to be resolved by using Agenda cards (18 in the game). The Party members try to solve these issues with 49 Resource cards, representing Elements of the State such as the Armed Forces, Policies, Finance, Production, and party networks. There are 9 of each type plus 4 non-co-operation cards in the deck.

First, the Minister in charge of the Agenda reports on the Agenda. Then, the Ministers hold a meeting to discuss how to resolve the reported content. At that time, it would be a good idea to interrogate suspicious persons as dissidents. The General Secretary concludes by identifying the suspects on the basis of his superior talent. The suspects are purged from the party.

Each Minister also has special privileges from their position to help them resolve the issues on the Agenda. By working together and using the resource cards, the Ministers can resolve the issues facing the Party.

If the General Secretary is successful in completing the Agenda by resolving the issues, the Party faithful win. But if the Party cannot resolve the issues, the dissidents win.
