    Description

????? ???? (Gopuram Dancing Sculpture) is a game from Japan in which players are constructing a Gopuram. This is an entrance tower at a Hindu temple in Southern India. The tower is covered in elaborate, colourful statues of dancing Hindu gods. The players are the sculptors, seeking inspiration as they construct their own Gopuram.

The game has a set of cards of dancers used to form a circle. Players move glass stones around this circle in the style of a Mancala game. As they move the stones around, they build up on an animal for each player.

When the player has got enough stones on their animal, they move them on and draw sculpture cards. These show four carved figures in different colours. Players add the cards they draw to the one card they started with at the centre of their tower. In doing so, players want to complete a tower of 4,3 and then 2 cards, but with sets of coloured statues lining up in groups.

When a player completes a tower, they take a bonus card of Vishnu to top out their tower. The other players get a chance to finish their towers, and scores are calculated from groups of figures and bonus points.

The most points wins the game for the best sculpture.
