    Description

Matarnia is an epic board game about a group of adventurers trying to strike the final blow in a boss raid. While there is a common goal of defeating a single raid boss, each player's real goal is to land the "final blow" and claim all the rewards.

On each player's turn, they draw 2 cards from the character deck. After checking both cards, he or she places one card underneath the boss card without revealing it, and the other card to one side with the boss card revealed. The area under the boss card is called the party recruitment zone, and the area where the remaining card is placed is called the party waiting zone.

Character cards are divided into normal and special classes, with special classes being treated as two normal classes and should be left uncovered when placed in the Party Recruit Zone. However, depending on the boss card's abilities, you may need to keep special class cards covered as well.

On the other hand, instead of drawing cards when it's their turn, players can also keep the cards in the Party Recruit Zone to themselves and decide whether to keep them in the Party Recruit Zone or send them to the Party Waiting Zone. This can be used to confirm that your own calculations are correct, but it can also be used to disrupt your opponent's calculations.

If you think you can defeat the boss with the character cards in the Party Recruitment Zone on your turn, declare "Defeat". At this point, all cards in the Party Recruitment Zone are revealed. The boss card describes the boss's power, how much power each class brings to the party, and the boss's effects.

The game ends when one player captures the boss, when all other players are eliminated and only one player remains, or when the character deck is exhausted. If a player successfully captures the boss, award that player 2 victory tokens, and if only one player remains, award that player 1 victory token. If the deck is exhausted, no one gets any victory tokens.

The round is then repeated, and the player with the most victory tokens (3 or more) wins.
