    Description

Translated in from Dutch from the back of the box:

    WATERLOO

2, 3 or 4 players can participate in the game. Each player has a general, eight soldiers and eight cavalrymen. At the beginning of the game, the armies are drawn up in the capital cities of the countries participating in the game. Additional army units are placed on the borders of the countries. Each country consists of the capital city and four provinces. The board is a representation of the Europe of 1815. The main countries of that time were: France, Prussia, Italy, Russia, Austria and Spain. During the game the armies, led by a general, move through the various countries. Along te way the generals can conquer provincial cities. The first general who has conquered eight cities wins the game. In an encounter between different armies, soldiers and generals can be lost. A general that has been defeated can still deliver battle, but is obliged to give up two soldiers to the opponent When a capital is captured then the country is no longer able to continue fighting. During the game you can be in a (temporary) alliance with one of the opponents. From that moment on the two players operate jointly. The Waterloo from 1815 relives in the 20th century.

Original Dutch game description from the back of the box:

    WATERLOO
