    Description

Warsemble is a turn-based strategy game for two to four players. The rules of the game allow for different situational games in which the target, the size of the field, and the size of the armies can vary.

There are only three rules in Warsemble (movement, rest, and battle), which reflect principles of actual military action:

The game is played in turns. With each turn, the player can move or update all figures.

    • Movement: Figures can move in four directions (forward, backward, left, and right) to adjacent accessible squares. Each time a figure enters a new square, its strength is reduced by points equal to the effort value of the square. Within each turn, the figure can be moved to as many positions as its strength allows.
    • Rest: Each figure that stays in place and is not attacked increases its strength by one point each turn, until it reaches a maximum strength of six.
    • Attack: The attacking figure must enter the square of the opponent figure, following the rules of movement (i.e., it must expend the strength needed to enter the opponent's square). After moving, the strengths of the two figures are compared and the stronger of the two survives.

The game is won by the player who first brings the crown to the base.
