    Description

The Viticulture: Arboriculture Expansion essentially doubles the complexity of the game and adds about fifteen minutes to the overall playing time. More specifically, it adds olive oil, apples, and tomatoes – all of which are harvested on the fields just like grapes – but the extra crops are processed on an extension to the vineyard mat. (Unlike the game board, worker actions are unencumbered by other players on the vineyard mat extension.)

Eighteen new "arbor" cards are also added to the game in their own deck, with these cards being drawn by using the "draw a vine card" action. These additions add value to the wine orders and can be used to improve worker morale. (The workers aren't happy that they have been given additional duties.)

    ---
Trade for cows, make cheese, and add cheese to your wine orders for in the Viticulture: Formaggio Expansion!

This expansion comes with 18 cows and six cheese cellar tokens. Cows can be traded at the “trade one for one” space on the Tuscan extended game board. They can be traded for £3, 1VP, two cards or a grape token. You can trade your cow away without making cheese. You are allowed a maximum of four cows.

The mat has three new structures:

    • Cheesemonger - may sell one cheese for 1VP on the “sell one wine token”
    • Affinatore - allows you to choose one type of cheese and either not age it (so it doesn’t go rotten) or age it twice.
    • Formager - once per year, you may discard one cheese token when you fill a wine order to gain VP’s up to the value of the cheese token. This can be up to 4 points, so as much as a wine order.

    ---

Arboriculture and Formaggio were modules included in the original Kickstarter version of Tuscany that were eventually deemed “non-essential” for the compilation of Tuscany Essential. However, due to fan requests and curiosity, we’ve made these modules (along with other modules) available in print-and-play format.

In addition, we granted a print-on-demand company, Print and Play Games, permission to make and sell a print-on-demand version of Arboriculture and Formaggio. (ships from the US).
