Tom and Jerry Gay Double Feature Cartoon Game
DescriptionThis 1948 title may be the earliest board game featuring the famous cat-and-mouse duo. Published by Milton Bradley under license from Loew's Inc. (owner of MGM), it is a spin-and-move game with a twist. Each player has both a Tom and a Jerry character, and they move in opposite directions around the board. There also is a twin spinner, one for each character. Each players spins both dials on his turn. When both spinners hit the same number, both moves are doubled. First player to get both pieces round the board wins. The game track includes three kinds of spaces: Cat, Mouse and star. What happens when two pieces meet depends on the space. Stars are safe spots. If two Toms meet on a Mouse space or two Jerrys on a Cat, both are sent home to start over. If a Tom and a Jerry meet, then Tom goes home on a Mouse space and Jerry goes home on a Cat. The box and rules declare that "This is a Psych Tested Game"... whatever that means. Game DiscussionsAdd CommentYou need to be logged in to comment. Insert Bullet List Please enter at least one item.
