    Description

April 9th, 1917… The birth of a nation.
In the early morning gloom on a cold and snowy Easter morning, the Canadian Corps would set off on their most important mission yet. The battle for Vimy Ridge was just one of the various battles during the Battle of Arras which in turn was a part of the Nivelle Offensive but one could argue this single battle helped form the Canada we know today. Some argue it was the victory at Vimy which allowed Canada to emerge from Great Britain's shadow, the Canadian Corps would earn the reputation of the allied shock troops. This reputation was won at a cost though, the Canadian Corps would lose over 10,000 dead and wounded.

The Battle for Vimy Ridge is a supplement for the Through the Mud and Blood Divisional scale ruleset by Dobbies Hobbies.

The Battle for Vimy Ridge will give you four historical scenarios recreating the Canadian victory at Vimy Ridge in 1917. This scenario book will allow you to play with each of the four Canadian divisions. You may use these scenarios as one off games, a mega battle or as a linked campaign. To use this scenario book with the Through the Mud and Blood Divisional Scale ruleset.

This rulebook will allow you to recreate the battle of Vimy Ridge.
Will you be able to push through the mud and blood to the green fields beyond?
Or will your troops flounder at the base of the ridge?
