    Description

Age of Eagles (1st Edition) or Napoleonic Fire & Fury, is no longer commercially published. It has been replaced by Age of Eagles II (aka 2d Edition). Nevertheless, the First and Second Editions share the same core rules and specifics. Units are infantry and cavalry brigades, as well as artillery batteries of between 6 and 12 guns. Each infantry stand represents 360-foot soldiers while each cavalry stand represents 180 mounted troopers. Ground scale is 120 yards to each inch, while all game turns represent 30 minutes of actual time.

This is a “Big Battle” game where you will command multiple divisions, not battalions. This makes engagements of over 150,000 combatants a playable reality. Unit and leader data charts, black undercoat painting technique and more are all presented in a clear and well-organized format designed to appeal to Grognard and conscript alike. Both the Napoleonic and French Revolutionary periods are supported.

    • Fully developed from the original Fire & Fury ACW rules with clarifications and updates to produce a completely new stand-alone product.
    • Irregulars, skirmishers, massed artillery, national doctrine, while unique Initiative and Reserve Movement phases replicate Army level C2.
    • The rules are black and white with full color outside covers, 96 pages long in addition to a two-page tables and charts sheet. The actual rules comprise 55 pages.
    • Graphics, tables and charts by original Fire & Fury author Richard Hasenauer, based on his original artwork used in ACW Fire & Fury and other publications.
    • Basing system inspired by Napoleon's Battle, so most players will not have to rebase.
    • Includes three scenarios – Austerlitz (1805), Dresden (1813) and Quatre Bras (1815).
    • Original, spiral bound hardcopy price $ 30.00 US.
