DescriptionThis is a chess variant for four players. The chess rules basically apply. Each player has three special figures: 2 tetra-pawns and 1 tetra-queen. The two tetra-pawns are placed in front of the rocks. the tetra-queen enters the game only when a tetra-pawn is promoted to a queen. The tetra-pawn may move up to three spaces straight ahead or up to two spaces diagonal ahead and may capture 1 or two spaces diagonal ahead. Ordinary pawns may not be promoted.
