    Description

Task Force Ranger (TFR) is a Solo or Multi-player “team” level rule set for up to five players. It has been designed to simulate combat operations in the middle east from Somalia during Operation Restore Hope (1992-1994), to Afghanistan 2022. Enemy forces are Automa (automatically card driven) units. Campaign play with the included campaign system and Tournament play usually consists of two to four players on the same game table. A fifth player may run any special ops teams and helicopters (helos) or play the Leader of the Enemy Forces!

    CONCEPT OF PLAY

Task Force Ranger (TFR) is an immersive card driven game. Cards provide you with the majority of the team and equipment information needed to play. The easy to reference rule book walks you through the rules in detail. To begin play, you choose a mission. Your Ranger Chalk is then inserted by land, sea or air and moves out to accomplish it. That mission, like a Snatch & Grab (capture an enemy figure), will enable you to gain victory points (VPs) if you choose keep your teammates in a campaign. Otherwise, just being able to accomplish your mission with good team decisions and a low causality count will be your reward.

During game play each of your chalk teams takes two actions. After each team completes their actions, draw an enemy activity card. As you play, these cards add situational flavor. Add up their different point values. A total of five causes an enemy attack card to be drawn. These cards allow enemy teams to enter play. Who will engage first? Will you make it to your objective? Will you complete your mission? From solo to larger games you will be challenged! At tournament level, chalks may operate together on the same mission! “Blackhawk Down” could be that mission!

A CAMPAIGN SYSTEM WITH 6 SCENARIOS
    Including Blackhawk Down, Somalia
    & Roberts Ridge, Afghanistan!
Can your rangers accomplish their mission against the Muj in Fallujah?
Will your troops survive outside the wire in the Sandbox?
