    Description

Sticks is in the Rummy family of card games. It is played with 2- 8 players with 4 decks (including jokers). Melding of sets and runs is similar to Rummy but each player has their own goal (written on a "stick"). Players have a hand of 15 cards and goals ranges from the use of 5 to 12 cards.

Each round players draw new sticks (goals) only if they completed their stick during the previous round. Those who did not complete their stick must try again to complete the same stick in the new round. Winner is the first to 7 sticks. A scoring variant is sometimes used where the game ends at 7 sticks but each stick is valued by the number of cards necessary to complete the goal.
