    Description

A long forgotten power has reemerged, a conduit of great magic and ruin. Though dangerous and hot to the touch, you cannot resist the chance to control it. Willing wizards, are you ready to duel your friends to emerge victorious and unlock the secrets hidden within...the Spell Spud???

Spell Spud is a 2-6 player elimination game in which players pass around the hot potato while trying to avoid burning their hands. Cast spells, trap your foes, and be the last wizard standing to gain victory in this easy to learn, but surprisingly deep, card game!

Each player chooses a unique pair of hands to represent themselves. When it’s your turn, you get to choose which hand you hold the potato with. If a Hand is burned, it’s flipped to the ‘Burned’ side. If it’s burned again, it’s out. With two hands, players have a chance to come back if they’ve had a rough start.

The potato is the core of the game. Each player starts their turn with it in their possession, allowing them access to their actions while also placing them at risk of being burned.

Players can take two actions during their turn. You may use an action to draw from the Spell Deck, which holds several useful spells to defend yourself from harm or place your foes into dangerous situations. But, it also costs an action to cast most spells, so think ahead to utilize your actions most effectively.
