    Description

“Welcome knave! The premise of Sorcery Chess is that the king is also a powerful wizard.”

The game is played using a standard chess set. However, the normal rules of Chess are altered by the use of spells by the Wizard Kings.

At the end of each player’s turn, the player rolls on a Spell Table and records the spell in a Spell Book. A player may only retain five spells at a time. Each turn a player may choose to move normally or to cast a spell. Most spells modify the way a piece can move. The rules also provide for Artifacts, which are like permanent spells, and Events, which occur immediately upon being rolled.
