Can you be the first to grab the new era name?

In this variation on traditional Japanese karuta, you use an app to show a made-up era name. When the name goes up you then try to be the first to slap the cards with the same kanji on them.

At the end of the game, the app will show four random real historical era names, and whoever can assemble the most of those with the cards they collected is the winner.
