    Description

RosenKreuz is an new abstract strategy game for two players. It uses a checkerboard of 8 x 8 squares, like chess and checkers, but with very different mechanics from both.

The players' pieces are distinguished by symbols, and both have equal numbers of black and white pieces. The object of the game is to capture all of the opponent's pieces of either color.

The game is characterized by three different capture methods. By major capture, you can capture your opponent's pieces by forming a group of the same color with your opponent's pieces and your own pieces. By minor capture, you can capture an enemy piece on a square of a different color than it by replacing. By attainment capture, you can capture any opponent piece by reaching the far end of the board.

Your piece can be moved by jumping over friendly pieces, so the game develops quickly. You need to read the board and make good use of the three capture methods to advance the game to your advantage.
