    Description

Rhetorical Oracle is a storytelling party card game, where the object is to argue with your friends over who would win in a fight in a given place, after which a judge decides and explains who wins in the form of a story!

The position of judge, which changes each round, pulls a Battlefield card, which serves as the location of the battle for that round. Players each have Creature cards and Item cards in their hands inspired from fairy tales and mythologies with brief descriptions, and must choose a Creature to play for every given round that would best work in the given Battlefield. They may play an Item card, too, if they think it will help with their argument.

Once all players have chosen their cards, they reveal them and begin describing why they would win the round. The judge listens to all arguments, then completes the round by telling a story that explains who wins and how. The winner of the round receives the Battlefield card as a point, and whoever has the most cards after a period of time wins! There are also hidden Vortex cards which change the rules of the game for one round. The winner of a Vortex round wins it AND the Battlefield card!

There are no stats, hit points, or abilities in Rhetorical Oracle. Players use their imaginations and logic to make arguments as to why they would win!
