Description

PRISM - Trick the Light Fantastic is an 18 card trick-taking game in which players aim to capture cards containing 3 colors with the goal of collecting many cards with one color and/or completing sets of cards that contain all 6 colors.

The 18 card deck consists of cards valued 0 to 7 with an uneven distribution. Each trick, a target card is displayed that players will compete to capture. The highest card played wins the target, except a 0-card beats a 7-card. No player may play a card of the same value as already played in the round. The trick winner claims the target card and the card they played becomes the new target card for the next round.

A game lasts a fixed number of tricks based on the number of players. At game end, players score for their best color and for complete card sets that contain all 6 colors.

Trick the Light Fantastic…

A single white light enters the PRISM and exits as a rainbow of colors. Now it’s up to you to capture those colors as quickly as possible before they fade away. Should you focus on just one specific color or attempt to capture the full spectrum? You’ll have to decide quickly because your options – much like the colors – will vanish.
