    Description

Powerplay: Ice Hockey is a fun and exciting sports game that simulates the events of a game of ice hockey. The game builds around an area impulse system found in various wargames in which players take turns, divided in impulses, to score a goal. With this, both players may act and react to actions taken by the opponent. But beware, you'll never know when your turn ends. The game uses dice and card to resolve most actions with multiple options for both sides. Build your own team, use different tactics and manage your strategy to win. Powerplay: Ice Hockey has two different modes, play either an exhibition game or a tournament.

Skating, passing, checking and shooting are some of the actions included. The game also has different player abilities, video reviews, referee personalities, line changes, penalties, fatigue, injuries etc. Use Push Tokens to press your luck and pit your checking line against your opponent's 1st line. Focus is on Team play, not on individual players. Each side has a Team Card with different ratings such as skating, passing, scoring, checking, puck control and more. Both teams also have a deck of cards to use in various situations, typical cards like Slapshot, Deke, Great Pass, Interference and One-timer are included.
