    Description

Two-player abstract played on an 8x8 grid. The basic pieces are tall columns belonging to either player. When a player jumps another player's column, he places one of his discs on it, claiming it for himself. Columns can change ownership repeatedly in this way. The winner is the first player to move his remaining columns into his opponent's home row.

"Can a game with sixteen pieces and simple rules provide the action of checkers and the strategy of chess? The answer is yes, if the game is Pounce, the game that takes minutes to learn--and years to master."
