Description

Ponies is a horse racing game with dice. Seven dice are included with the game, 6 with letters and 1 normal die. Players start with an equal amount of money (in 1, 5, 10, 20 and 50 unit demoninations) and all start with a 5 unit in the stake fund.

Each players take turns at one roll of all seven dice. The following word combinations are possible:

WIN - Player takes all units in stake. This then starts a new game.
PLACE - Player collects 1/2 of the units in the stake.
SHOW - Player collects 1/3 of the units in the stake.
LEAD - Player collects 10 times the number of units indicated by nunber on normal die from the stake.
PACE or RACE - Player collects 5 times the number of units indicated by number on the normal die from the stake.
REAR - Player neither collects or donates.
If none of the above words appear on role, player then donates number of units indicated on the normal die to the stake.

Player can never collect more money than is in the stake. When there is no more money in the stake, all players donate five unites apiece to the stake.

Game continues until someone gets WIN.

Alternate game play: Only play with rules for WIN, PLACE or SHOW.
