Described in Parlett's The Oxford History of Board Games.

The game has 144 squares in three colors (12 x 12 grid) and each player has twelve pieces, four of each color, the players are differentiated by shape. Pieces move in any orthogonal or diagonal direction one space, or over an unbroken line of pieces of any shape or color, provided it lands on its own color.
