    Description

Open Portals is a deck of 56 fully illustrated playing cards that also comes with a manual that teaches players how to play a new and inventive multiplayer card game. Open Portals also doubles as an Oracle deck.
    —description from the designer

The game is a decorated standard deck of cards, with four suited jokers. The object of the game is to get the most points, and you get one point for each Portal (number card) Opened (in front of you at the end of a round), as well as some bonus points. Each player is dealt 14 cards and then cards are passed until every player has one Magic (Ace) card. Then each players particular Magic card is played down to show their suit. Each turn you may play one card in front of you. God (face) cards are special action cards that let you take the action listed on it when you play it. Portals may only be Opened if the suit matches your Magic card. Once a Portal is Opened, you may Open Portals of others suits matching that Portals numbers too. And if you play a Myth (Joker) card in front of you, you can then Open Portals matching that Myth card too. A round ends once all God cards have been played. The winner is the first person to 36 points, or whomever has the most points after 3 rounds.
