Offensive le Jeu is a simple and effective educational tool to explain military operations up to the brigade level. It is particularly interesting for officer or student training. Generic in nature, it allows a wide range of player-generated scenarios, can be played on a 1:50'000 military map and can be easily house-ruled.

Each side starts with a set of forces and special units, as well as a hand of event and asset cards. The scale of the units' movement on the square grid is realistic, as well as their spotting range and firepower. The games teaches combined arms on the higher tactical level, while allowing for a skillful combination of obstacles, mines, demonstrations and paramilitary groups - the game conveys the idea of a hybrid engagement.

The use of blocks and the combination with event & asset cards allows for good bluffing strategies.
