    Description

In "Obscure Battles Volume 6 – A Cruel Sea", the player takes the role of a Submarine commmander trying to locate and destroy enemy shipping on a patrol.

This is a exclusively solitaire game: you don’t need any other player to play the game. Extremely fast playing and simple but detailed , fun game - just a A3 for your map board, the game is extremely easy to play. Just roll a single D6 and pick the targets then see if you can execute a successful attack and then survive to tell the tale !

Game comes with 8 Submarines: German Type 21 and 7C from WW2 and UC/III from WW1, French Surcouf, Japanese Junsen 2 , US Gato from WW2, Soviet Foxtrot and one special yellow submarine :) .

Play the standart game or you can also design your own missions using the supplied Submarine Info , Target ad Escort Type Cards. There are more Submarine types and loadouts that are provided as part of the optional packs.

Your targets are selected from different decks of cards such as different freighter types, fishing vessel, troop Ships, tankers, capital warships etc.

Your submarine will not be safe out there: there are several usual ASW escorts such as Destroyers, Frigates, ASW Planes, Corvettes and and even Q-Ships.

There is also special set of "named" Target and Escort cards that come with their own name such "HMS Saltash Castle", "USS England" and "IJN Shigure" and more.
Finally, the combat cards give you the expected unexpectedness of the life at sea.
