Nominoes & Trickets
DescriptionNominoes & Trickets is a tile-based game that shares some similarities with Tri-Ominos and Trimino. Its red plastic tiles (56 in the 1960s edition, 36 in the 1980s edition) are triangles with zero to five white dots along each side (not in the tile’s corners). In the game’s main variant, "Nominoes", players draw tiles to decide who places the opening tile, then take turns attempting to place a tile (from their hand of 9) in a way that that will add up the dots from the tiles’ open ends into a multiple of 5. (The open ends are pieces to which two sides remain unmatched to other pieces.) This total is added to the player’s score. There is a bonus for placing a tile in such a way to close a loop of tiles, as there is for blocking an opponent from play. The first player to reach 500 points wins. There is also a second variant of the rules called "Trickets". It is similar to the card game Bridge. Game DiscussionsAdd CommentYou need to be logged in to comment.
