Myytti: Väinämöisen tarina
DescriptionPlayers are artists in 19th and 20th century Finland. Väinämöinen, main character in Kalevala, has been selected as a national hero and there is a need for portraits which present the heroic qualities of Finns. Three competitions are held in which players compete to create the best work of art. The players play out cards that contain a (body) part of a piece of art on top of each other so that the cards forms various Väinämöinen figures. The goal is to create a figure that fulfills some pregiven requirements. The finished pieces of arts are given scores. A fairly simple set collection game that Lautapelit.fi has produced together with the Finnish National Gallery. The game was originally designed by a group of art teachers, thus the players will also learn some art history about Väinämöinen - the main character in the Finnish national epic Kalevala.
