MYFAKEBAND is a party game that celebrates the Music Industry while shining a light on the absurdity that surrounds band names and song titles. MYFAKEBAND is a hilarious game that allows you to be the creator of some epically ridiculous bands, putting out equally cringeworthy hit singles.

How to play: The person in the group who most recently sang karaoke, will become the first “Founding Member.” Or, the person in the group who most recently purchased music or concert tickets will become the first “Founding Member.” (SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MUSICIANS!)

The Founding Member draws 1 card from the “My Fake Band” deck and 1 card from the “Genre” deck. The Founding Member then reads the name and genre of their new fake band to the group. Each player in the group, including the founding member, will create & write down the song title of the Fake Band’s first hit single. Answers are passed back to the founding member face down.

All of the song titles- including the one written by the founding member- will be read out loud to the group, twice.
The first player up will try and match a song title to the correct author. When a match is made, the player who wrote that song title is eliminated from the round. Play continues until the current player guesses incorrectly. With an incorrect match, the mic passes clockwise to the next player, gameplay resumes. Gameplay continues until only 1 player remains or the mic makes it back to the founding member.

Scoring:

1 point for each correct match (Not including guessing their own)
2 bonus points if a player completes all matches in one turn
4 points for the founding member if no correct matches are made before the mic makes it back to the founding member
