Monster Problemen
DescriptionMonster Problemen ("Monster Problems") is ‘serious’ card game for age 8 and older in which players learn about problems caused by poverty and potential solutions for such situations. This is done by seeing text one side of the cards, the other side shows monster heads (problems) and limbs (solutions) that can be combined if they are of the appropriate color (type). Cards are drafted from an open tableau, with 2 cards per player per round being offered, plus 1 starting player card that can be taken. Players choose 2 cards during their turn. Then flip over the cards to see the monster head or limbs. Monsters heads need 2 to 4 limbs to be completed. At any time players can rearrange their monster heads and limbs. If the drawing pile is too small to fill up the open drafting tableau the game immediately ends. Each completed monster is worth point equal the amount of cards it consists of. The player with the most points wins the game. This is a co-creations with the Kids Council of the municipality of Groningen. The game will be distributed to primary schools in the city. Drawings are made by the Kids Council. Graphic design and art implementation done by Marco Westerkamp. —description from the designer Game DiscussionsAdd CommentYou need to be logged in to comment.
