Mage Lite is a fan-made, 18-card version of Mage Knight. Play using just 18 cards and a token (such as a coin). Mage Lite is a free, downloadable print and play game.

Play as a Mage Knight with mysterious motives and even more mysterious abilities. Work your way through the countryside, defeating enemies, recruiting units, learning spells and gaining artifacts to grow your power. Optimize your card play to maximize your movement, attack, block and influence. Strategic play can reward you with victory, allowing you to defeat two powerful cities before your time runs out.

Two optional expansions expand the gameplay even further. The Main Expansion adds more cities and map tiles, more enemies, a minor skill tree giving you options for skill upgrades, more spells and artifacts, and Cover Cards to make the game more challenging by hiding top-deck information. The Main Expansion also provides a card-based location tracker, removing the need for a token.

The Crystal Expansion allows players to add Mana Crystals into the game, making the gameplay feel even more like Big Mage knight. This expansion gives replacement action cards that were edited to fit with the mechanics of the base game.
