    Description

For an ordinary deck or a Scopa deck. For the first ten tricks, players compete to win display cards ("jewels") from the talon by winning tricks. Display cards are placed into a row in front of each player known as their showcase ("la vetrina"). Winning showcase cards gives you points, but at a cost: it if a player leads with a card matching a suit of a card in your showcase, you must follow suit for that trick. Moreover, cards from your showcase may only be used to follow, and your opponent sees your cards. For the second ten tricks, once the talon is gone, you play out your hand and showcase. Preparing your evolving hand to win more points overall is a cerebral conundrum.

Some unique features include that in the first half it's easier to lose tricks than to win them (since phase-1 is played "all trump": any card of an off suit wins). Simultaneously, the showcase allows the leader to determine if their opponent must follow suit or not-- so for connoisseurs of trick games there are new interesting puzzles.
