    Description

In the fictional country of Araweit, you compete in the exploration and exploitation of petroleum to be the first to amass 500 MF (500 million francs).

The map shows the country, divided into two zones; the A zone is harder to get to and out of, so exploration permits are cheaper --because only big deposits are likely to be money makers. Some of the A zone lots are offshore.

What you can do during your turn is driven by the outer track. Eventually, you'll buy permits, conduct seismic exploration, drill (also a form of exploration), place reservoir markers for oil or gas. Random events intervene, and nationalization occurs now and then.

The game has a definite educational bent to it.
