Description

Koulutusleikkaus ("Education Cutback") is a game about cutbacks in Finnish education system by the current government - against their promises (Koulutuslupaus - education promise) prior to election. Main characters are Prime Minister Juha Sipilä and Minister of Education Sanni Grahn-Laasonen.

Players start with a certain number of students and teachers (wooden bits) which they assign to different schools (from primary to university). During the game, cutback after cutback (different event cards) force players to fire teachers or do some other unpleasant action which leads to student alienation. Players may struggle against the cutbacks (eg. reassign teachers), but eventually they can't save everybody. In the end, the player who lost the least is the winner - or the best loser.
