    Description

Kagoun is a game of card collection and confrontation.

In Paris in 1900, while the Universal Exhibition is in full swing, a few spiritism enthusiasts discover the existence of Kagouns. These fantastic entities are geometric-shaped butterflies of light.

From that moment on, the Kagoun hunters become obsessed with capturing them and uncovering their mysteries, using their mystical glasses to attract Kagouns. It's teamwork, but not entirely, as nothing prevents a Kagoun hunter from stealing a Kagoun from their neighbor, turning them into adversaries.

On your turn, you can (1) capture cards from the center (free-roaming Kagouns); (2) assemble your Kagoun collection; (3) steal an unprotected Kagoun card from a rival; or (4) discard unwanted cards from your hand to draw replacements.

You can have up to 3 pairs of unassembled Kagouns in front of you. If you assemble Kagouns next to each other, matching their edge shapes, you build your collection and points. Further, only unassembled Kagouns or the Kagouns at either end of your collection can possibly be stolen by rivals; your central collected Kagouns are protected.

To hinder opponents progressing faster than you, you can try to steal cards from them, but they will have an opportunity to defend themselves each time.

To win, you must reach 10 points and announce "Kagoun!" at the start of your intended final round, giving your rivals one last chance to either stop you or, if they also called "Kagoun!" that same round, to exceed your score. If, at the end of this round, you have at least 10 and the most points, you win.
