Itancan
DescriptionItancan is the Sioux word for Chief. The goal of this game is to be the first player to gain 28 feathers, thereby becoming Itancan (chief.) Equipment: The board is set up like a spoke, with the center spot being the Sacred Circle and is the starting place for all players. The four spokes signify the four directions. Players roll a die and move that number of spaces on the board in any direction on a spoke. However, movement on the outer circle is only in clockwise direction unless when instructed by a card or other space directions. The various spaces are: If you land on an unoccupied War Council Place space, the player who is closest on the board in any direction must join the player on that space. Once a player gains 28 or more feathers, the remaining players have one turn to try and drop that player down to below 28 feathers.
