    Description

St. Cyr, blocked in Barcelona, ??decides to make an exit to eliminate the threat of the Spanish settled on the other side of the Llobregat river, who interrupted his communications with the rest of the peninsula.

With this intention, he leaves the city at the head of his 7th Army Corps with more than 20,000 men, 1,500 horses and some artillery.

The Spanish block the crossing of the Llobregat river at the Carlos III bridge in the town of Molins de Rei with about 15,000 men and good and abundant artillery, thinking that it will be through that place where the French will try to cross the river.

In reality the Imperials have crossed much further south and surprise the Spanish on the other side of the river.

The disproportion of forces makes Spanish victory unfeasible, and therefore in this scenario we will only try to determine how long the Spanish will be able to maintain the pressure and prevent the imperialists from taking them out of their positions.

If at the end of the day the French have not managed to get the enemy off the map, we can consider that they have lost the battle and that victory will be for the Spanish arms.

And since the relationship of forces is very favorable to the French, we introduced a reinforcement that did not exist in reality, although it could have perfectly happened, and that allows the battle to be balanced and give the Spaniards more possibilities.
