    Description

    User summary:

Growby is a tile laying game. The tiles are square. Each corner of every tile is colored (so that the interior of the tile is a blank diamond that has a number inscribed). Players lay tiles from their hand in a square grid trying to match up the colors on their tiles corners with the colors on the orthogonally adjacent tiles. The more colors that match, the more points that are received for that tile placement.

If a player can not place a tile, she must draw tiles until she is able to place a tile. Each tile drawn this way results in negative five points.

Games are played to 1000 points.

The tiles are wooden. This game was hand made in a limited run in 1988. At least 155 games were produced. A patent was applied for to protect the game but was not granted.
