    Description

Global War 1985 is a game of global conflict in the 1980s. Designed for 2 to 7 players, it has 3 scenarios:

    1. Pacific Typhoon: a three player scenario between the Soviet Far East Command, the US Pacific Command, and China.
    2. Red Thunder: a two to four player scenario between the Warsaw Pact, NATO, Soviet Global Command, and US Global Command.
    3. Global ThermoNuclear War: a three to seven player including the entire global conflict and all seven playable factions.

Global War 1985 has several unique features. First, it represents a global, hypothetical conflict in the 1980s. Second, it allows player to utilize nuclear weapons, and execute possible 1980s nuclear attack options, as an integral part of a combatant’s strategy and planning, without ending the game automatically. Third, it showcases the Chinese economy and military in the 1980s, including relevant unit types and theorized strategies like People’s War. Finally, it is the only Global War series game, to date, that includes multiple scenarios.
