    Description

Gingerbreads is a cooperative family game, in which the players will be helping uncle Otto with his order: baking polyominos of gingerbread, coating them with different-colored icing and storing them in the box. If the players fill the box completely before the icing runs out, they win!

During the game the players take turns, going clockwise. On their turn, the player must perform one of the following actions:

    • Bake a gingerbread: roll the die — its face will show the gingerbread shape(s) the player will be able to bake during their turn. They choose one shape and take the topmost gingerbread from the corresponding pile for themselves. Each player may have only one gingerbread in front of themselves at a time. The player may also adjust the die result, discard their current gingerbread, or refresh one of the gingerbread piles — but they will have to discard an Icing sphere — the most valuable resource — for that!

    • Coat their gingerbread with one Icing sphere: the player chooses 1 of the 9 available Icing spheres from the dispenser that would fit their gingerbread and place it on the corresponding slot of the tile.

    • If the player can’t or doesn’t want to do anything of the above, they must discard an Icing sphere from the dispenser.

There are three complexity levels: easy, medium, and hard.
Easy level: No die rolling — the kids bake gingerbreads of any shapes.

Hard level: Malfunction cards are added — they affect the Icing dispenser and introduce different restrictions for the current turn.
