Gateball?
DescriptionBased off the Japanese sport of Gateball, which, while different, bears a few resemblances to Croquet. Each team has 5 balls that they need to hit through 3 gates and then over the finish area. They get 1 point for each ball that gets past each gate, and 2 points for going over the finish line. These must be done in order. You can get a maximum of 5 points per ball (3 for the 3 gates, 2 for the finish). There are 6 game turns, and in each turn, each ball can move (with different types of shots, such as power or technique). Each time you hit another ball, you get to shoot that ball off (whether its your own or an opponents), and then take an extra turn. You cannot have your current ball hit the same other ball multiple times, but if you hit different balls (or pass through gates) in succession, you can rack up many shots in a row. The seventh in Grapac Japan's series of games under the label "Aeronaut". They are meant to be very fast playing (around 15-30 minutes). They all come in a file-type holder, with the inside of the file being the game board, and all of the components attached to the ring binder in bags and pouches.
