    Description

This is a very early game by Milton Bradley Co. of Springfield, Massachusetts. Enclosed in its box are 14 stand-up soldiers and a “rapid-fire, repeating pistol”. The purpose of the game is to shoot down as may of the soldiers as you can during your turn. The instructions are included on the back of the box lid. Components include, an officer on a horse, a bugler, a drummer and 11 riflemen. All stand 6-1/4” tall by means of the wooden blocks nailed to the bases of the men. The pistol is composed of wood & tin metal. It measures 5-1/2 inches in length and shoots small pegs of wood. The hammer is pulled back into a locking position and the ‘slugs’ are launched when the trigger is pulled.
