    Description

    This extension adds new army cards and a new card type : Hero cards. These heroic individuals support the regular troops with their own unique powers and abilities during an assault. What better way to keep an opponent on their toes?

    When you want to deploy a Hero card from your hand, you simply place it on top of a Troop card already deployed to one of your Ramparts. When that Troop card is activated, the Hero card joins it in the Assault Area. You cannot deploy a Hero directly to an Assault Area.

    The different effects of these Heroes are as follows:
    • Champion: The Champion increases to 2 Might if a Standard Bearer is present in its Assault Area.
    • The General: Each Soldier card present in the Assault Area grants the General +1 Might.
    • Battle Mage: When activated, move 1 Army card of your choice from one of your opponent's Assault Areas to another.
    • Necromancer: At the end of an Assault, place 1 discarded Army card of your choice in the Necromancer’s Assault Area.
    • Priest: When activated, select 1 Troop card in the War Priest's Assault Area, this unit gains +1 Might during the next Assault resolution.
    In addition to these Heroes, four new Army cards swell the ranks of the mercenaries engaged in the various battles between the clans:
    • The Cauldron: Cannot be activated. When a Rampart where a Cauldron is deployed is assaulted, destroy 1 assaulting Troop card of your choice. When this card is discarded, move your opponent’s Time token forward by 1 hour.
    • Knights: When assaulting a Breach, Knights gain +1 Might. Spend 2 hours to Redeploy this card to an adjacent Assault Area.
    • Command Tent: When activated, choose 1 Troop card in one of your Assault Areas and redeploy it to one of your Ramparts or Breaches.
    • Veterans: When activated, redeploy 1 Troop card of your choice from your Ramparts to the Veterans' Assault Area. In addition, this expansion continues to expand the abilities of Troops and War Machines.
