Comrade Gov’nor, welcome to this game of lies, deceit, corruption and murder. You are to navigate the murky waters of the upper-echelon of the Russian policy while ruling over your oblasts. You start your political journey under the watchful eye of Moscow oblast - which is a Non-Player-Character.
You will have access to riches beyond your wildest dreams, directly out of the bosom of Mother Russia: timber, oil, steel, gold, diamonds and, of course… potato. Spend them wisely to acquire power, because yachts are an impoundable illusion. You will gain resources in each turn, but half of everything goes to Moscow. Play your hand close to the chest and take maximum advantage of both alliances and traitors. When the time is right, you will be able to declare your independence and from then on, ALL of the riches stay in your regional budget. Moscow, of course, will try to ”denazify” you and ”liberate” your province from under your rule as soon as possible - so choose your timing wisely.
