Description

A trick-taking game similar to Hearts, where players try to avoid negative points. The game is played in rounds, and ends when one player has -200 or less points, at which point the player with the highest total amount of points (even if negative) wins the game.

• At 4-6 players, you use all the cards.
• At 7-8 players, remove all the “2”s except for the yellow “2”.
• At 3 players, remove all “1” and “2” cards.

To set up a round, shuffle all the cards for your player count and deal them out equally to the players. To finish round setup, all players simultaneously pass 3 cards (with 6 or more players 2 cards), face down, to the player on their left.

The player who has the green 5 starts the round, and the cards are played out in a series of tricks.

There is no trump, and you must follow suit if able. The highest card in the led suit wins the trick. If two cards of the same value (1s or 7s) are played in a trick, then the first played wins. The player who won the last trick leads to the next.

• Each yellow card: +5 points
• Each red card: -10 points
• Each black “7”: -50 points

In addition, winning the last trick of a round earns +50 points.
