    Description

    Introduction:

Crumo (from Proto-Germanic: Kr?mô, meaning "fragment") is a drawless game for two players: Black and White. It is played at the intersections (points) of an initially empty hexagonal board with triangles. The recommended board size is 7 points per side, but smaller or larger boards can be used for shorter or longer games. Each player has access to a sufficient supply of stackable pieces of their own color.

    Definitions:

    – A stack is a set of pieces located at the same point, one on top of the other. A single piece is also a stack.
    – The height of a stack is the number of pieces it contains.
    – A guarded point is a point located at a distance equal to the height of a stack, and that stack is said to be guarding it. The stacks also guard the points they occupy.
    – A controlled point is a point occupied by a friendly stack or an empty point that can only be occupied by friendly stacks.
    – A stack receives an amount of attack equal to the amount of enemy stacks that control the point it occupies, and receives an amount of defense equal to the amount of friendly stacks that control the point it occupies. One or more stacks are dead if they receive more attack than defense and are removed from the board.

    Turns:

Black plays first and then turns alternate. On your turn, perform one of the following actions:

    – Place a stack on an empty point that is at a distance equal to the height of the stack, either in an orthogonal or diagonal direction, towards an empty point or towards a friendly stack, unless it is also towards an enemy stack. At the end of your turn, the newly placed stack cannot be left dead.
    – Move a complete stack or a portion of it orthogonally or diagonally a distance equal to the number of pieces taken from that stack. You cannot move a complete stack if your opponent also did so in a turn immediately prior, unless you are capturing. Then remove all dead stacks. At the end of your turn, unlike the newly placed stack, the newly moved stack can be left dead.
    – Pass your turn.

    End of the game:

If a player cannot take any action, he must pass his turn. If both players pass consecutively, the game ends and points are counted by adding the points controlled by friendly stacks and the number of enemy pieces captured, in addition to awarding an extra half point to the player who passed first.

The player with the highest score in the final position wins.

To make the game fair, before starting, the first player places an initial black stack and the second player chooses the sides. This balancing method is called the pie rule.
